SENIOR MEN
This game was going be a big challenge for our group. Waverley were 3-0 and in a similar position to us.

We started well, as we were able to apply pressure to their ball carrier and were able to get turnovers. This was giving us opportunities to hit the scoreboard. 12 points up at the first break.

The second quarter was a bit frustrating as we had control and had gotten out to a nice lead. Waverley then started to get some control through the middle and were able to kick the last 3 goals to take a 2 pt lead.

The second half was a real tussle as both teams had control at some stage during the half. We were working hard across the ground. We just couldn’t take our chances when they presented themselves. The way the game was being played it was going to come down to who could execute better as a team. Unfortunately it wasn’t us and we went down by 12 pts.

While disappointed to lose. We can walk away knowing we did a lot right and we can compete with the better team’s.

Go Redbacks!
